Subject: Re: Who Is Charlie Leighton

Bill Romel sez:

"Charles Leighton. Probubly the most unique sound in all Hamonicadom.
His recordings are collectors treasures. He plays 64 Chromatic. He has
a classical album and an album of beautiful old standards. He plays
great jazz but not like anything you have ever heard before. He lives
in New York, and you more than likely can get more information from
Danny Wilson, Mr. bass harp. One of the sweetest men I have ever met
and I am sure he would share his music with any one interested."

Bill is so right, as will be attested by anyone who has heard his
recordings, or better yet, hung with him at SPAH conventions, and were
lucky enough to be present at the recent one in Detroit. Charlie - on
stage with Pete Pedersen and William Galison, bouncing off each other,
with Ron Kalina on keyboard. It don't get no better than that, friends.

For those who are still wondering what Charlie sounds like - his
recordings are available through Farrells. Don't pass these up. Check
with Farrell for availability and prices.
