Subject: AMPS-(again)

I'd like to tap into the wealth of knowledge here on harp-l once
again....
I'm still searching for "my" big, loud amp......(4x10 combo)
I had a line on an out of state Bassman RI, but I waited too long....
and it sold. (Bummer)
Locally, I saw a Fender Concert amp (c1961-1962). I was told that this
amp is basically the same as the '59 Bassman. Same circuit anyway...
Is this true....? (I played through it, and it seemed to break-up at a
much lower volume than the new Bassman RI I recently played
through-tubes going bad, maybe....?)

So.... Here's the big question.... If a guy could get a Used Bassman
REISSUE for about $500 bucks, or
a used VINTAGE 1961-62 Concert for $700-750, which would be the better
deal (assuming both were in similar condition).....?

comments/opinions/experiences welcome - and expected :-D
