I have a Bandmaster chromatic, which I bought around 1980. It was made in the
former East Germany (GDR), and it was extremely hard to play -- very leaky,
sticky slide. It really put me off chromatics for a long time until I learned
they weren't all that way.

As for Damark, I've bought a couple of things from them -- a 2-line speaker
phone, some outdoor stereo speakers. The phone broke after 6 months, and the
speakers buzz. I don't think they sell anything that isn't remainders or
"refurbished" returns -- in other words, junk.

IMHO, you're better off buying Huangs for the same money, and spending 2 bucks
for the shipping, from Farrell's or Magdalaine.
