Michael and others: No it's not the "tongue slap" which I know how to
execute with at least some proficiency. This "vamping is a technigue in and
of itself. At least to my untraind ear it is.
Isn' the "slap a one-shot execution of the tongue on the hole or
holes?Joe Filisko introduced it as a "Chicago " technique. The class I am in
is called "Chicago Blues Harp". However he didn't mention any players who
employ this technique. The only reason I mentioned it to the group is that I
forgot if he used it with two holes or one
Anyway I'm going to practice it . What could it hurt, one more thing
for your "bag of tricks".
Thanks to Michael and others
P.S. I love my wife but then there's the harmonica!(I better quit saying
this)
