Hey Rod,

Congratulations! It sounds great. With NO TRAIN WRECKS. I'm
impressed. Would that my record anywhere close.

I get this from time to time, mostly daytime gigs in the sun. Water is
important since your music involves blowing and exhaling depletes your
internal water clock, so to speak (singers are careful to keep hydrated,
so should you). When I'm plagued with a completely dry mouth, there's
nothing I've found to drink that helps. The only thing that has made a
difference is just stopping everything for a minute and trying to get up
some (ahem) spit. That's all. Maybe the old hiker's trick of putting a
pebble in the mouth is the way to go.

Naw, I disagree, Rod. You'll get your radio active white hot licks up on
stage with a bit more experience. Then the struggle is to make your
playing simple, tasty, sweet. You can spice up tasty playing with hot
licks. That's a lot easier than sweetening hot playing with taste. Play
nicely. Hot will take care of itself.
