Subject: Little Walter, Big Steve & BG

Yes, after all, many here can attest to that characteristically Little
Walter style of playing that Douglas has. He's surely the one I'd go to
for advice on this topic.

This surprised me a little. I have always had a high regard for BG's
accuracy of reportage, depth of insight, clarity in argument and breadth of
knowledge in many areas.

However, she appears in error here. Little Walter had many characteristics
in his playing, warmth, grittyness, direct communication with the soul,
great use of the harmonica, direct link with the listeners heart. I feel
that none of these characteristics touch base with mine.

I certainly go along with what Steve says.. Yo Man! as we English say.

But Golly (note the subtlety) you don't want to come to me for advice on
THAT subject.
Or was there a veiled compliment in there somewhere, in which case: Thank
you kahndly, Tallahassee Lassie.
