Subject: playing in other keys

I'd recommend getting a Jamey Abersold play-along
CD for developing skills in other keys. I've been
using them while learning keyboards. I hope to
move on to using them for harp, but at this
point it's just a fantasy.

As far as chromatic tunes go, I'd be interested in
what folks feel are good "starter" songs to get
me started playing in something other than third
position on the chromatic. I've got Toots, Stevie
and Larry Adler stuff at home but most of it
is a bit intimidating.

p.s. - just took apart the CX-12. My guess is that
Hohner must have a decent mechanical guy (or gal)
working there now. It disassembles in a snap. Now,
how about reed plates that come off that quickly?

p.p.s. - yep, Doug's right, I'm an odd pucker.
