First, Bubble Gum music implies mass appeal, commonality, acceptance with
the masses... not something blues has suffered much, I'd say. So, let
it fly! We all know it won't last long if it does anyway, considering
fickle fantasies of the music world. But, further....

Oh, Lee! Love your harps! Buying another this week! Yeah, the Blues is
a feeling, but I sure wouldn't like to go hear some yahoo blasting "Born
in Toledo" or "Sweet Home, Tallahassee"! The only "blues" you can play
or sing honestly by such a definition is what you wrote in your own back
yard. Fine, if it's good. But no one asked Billie Holiday if she really
took a trip on a train to sing "I Thought About You". Or if Jimmy Rogers
really "Caught the KT".

Grab the song, let it bite you... then emote!

And have fun while you're at it.
