>Surprisingly, his regular guitarist, Rich Yescalis, played through another >Concert (?'62), but his was brown (quite rare I believe), while Steve's was >Black/Blackface. Now I ask you, when have you ever seen 2 Concerts >on stage together?
Richie is also very good harp player. He used to play bass with Big Smokey Smothers when he lived in Chicago a few years back. He has toured with Jimmy Rogers. He is a very nice guy, in addition to being a very talented bluesman. He lived in Chicago for several years and has played with a lot of big time blues talent.
My wife and I ran into him at Yoshi's in Oakland last year. He was working with the Jimmy Rogers Blues Band. I hadn't seen him in about ten years. Although he didn't remember me, he chatted with us for about 30 minutes and gave us some club recommendations in the Philly area.
