Paul Geremia plays blues, rags, and originals. He is nothing short of
stunning. His records from the early 80s have been rereleased on CD, his
two recent CDs are Portrait in Blues and Gamblin' Woman Blues. His
covers of Blind Blake, Blind Lemmon Jefferson, Leadbelly, Blind Willie
McTell, etc. etc. are incredible. His originals are excellent. He's got
the feel for early guitar and harmonica blues. He's excellent.

I'm a huge fan of Paul Geremia and John Hammond, and I dig Jimmy Reed,
Juke Boy Bonner, and I do guitar and harp myself. But the very best, the
guy I'd rather sit listening to more than ANYONE else who does Guitar and
harp is Dave Moore, whose CD Over My Shoulder is out on Red House Records
in Minneapolis. He's in Iowa City and travels mostly around here,
Wisconsin, Illinois. Where Hammond and Geremia are punchy and snappy,
Dave's style is mellower, more soulful (yes, Moore is more soulful), and
just as lively. I'm catching Dave tonight (Saturday).
