Nate Clark asks some questions about chromatics and the Chrometta. Unless the Chrometta has been radically redesigned, the slide movement leaked air like a seive. The upper end notes are not 'flapped' and therefor take about twice as much air as the flapped holes lower down. I remember calculating that more air goes sideways down the slide than through the upper notes! I would think, but don't know from experience, that the Chrometta would be too leaky for a wide range of bends. I thought in fact that it was a nice idea that didn't quite make it. One point mentioned was the difficulty of playing the upper notes. This applies on any instrument, not only harp. It is a matter of learning tighter technical control of the notes which only comes from a lot of playing and focusing attention. The harmonica is not an easy instrument to play, it is judt an easy instrument to start!.
What chromatic to play if you want to do bends and overblows I leave to the experts.
