Subject: Blues Chromatic

Only one way to go here, and I think Winslow is right. Spring for the Honer
Super64x in C if you want to do the Little Walter 3rd position no button
blues stuff. The 4 octaves are necessary, particularly that last essential
low octave with a tight hand cup and the echo/delay/reverb cranked up on a
tune like Last Night. The 64 is a less airtight cheaper substitute.

I started with a 64 and think the Super64x is more airtight (less work better

tone). Spring for it now, it will last (almost) forever and is worth the
difference. My ideal blues chromatic still hasn't been made, but they are
close - a four (4) octave Honer CX-16. The CX-12 is nice and airtight, but
only 3 octaves. Maybe Honer will try this?!?!

If its more of a William Clark approach you want, get some Honer 270's in
various keys. Good luck on the chromatic. I know I still have a ways to go
with mine.

Short harp choice is much simpler - make mine a Honer Special 20. Best tone/
durability / price / lip comfort ratio IMHO. Just got a low F model which is
really nice and smooth. Listen to James Harman doing The Four Questions on
his new Black & White CD for some really nice low F harp work...
