Subject: Re: Tongue Blocking (N. Buffalo is a curled tonguer,nah-nah,
nah-nah)

I've heard only about 50% of the population can do the tongue curl. Try a few more people than just your wife as a test. Some can also tie a knot in a marachino cherry stem inside their mouth, which is a cool thing. But if you can't you can't, this is a case where genetics just won't cut you loose. Some people can wiggle their ears and some can't. Some can do things with one side of their face, while keeping the other side "normal" and some can't. I also can curl my tongue, which comes in handy in other areas of life. However, the end of my tongue is too curved to make this a readily available for a harp technique. Any words of wisdom from any other
Harp-L'rs, since I don't propose to know all in this area. I think Primich's tapes give some indication of this as well and well be my source of the 50% proposition.
