Hi y'all...Primich is finally here. Let him answer your questions in a couple of large, general posts (just because I'm pleading for mercy)....
Here we go:
1. To Tony Carlsen ("When are you coming back to Chicago?") July 7 -- at B-L-U-E-S Etc. Thanks for buying the records (grin).
2. Bruce Roberts...("How did Battle ofBlues Harp" at HOB in LA go, and do you ever take a day off?")
The show was a lot of fun. Had a great time playing with Lee Oskar, Snooky Pryor, Sugar Blue, Al Blake, Hook Herrera and Little Brody Buster (10-year old harmonica wonder). I had three days off in 1978 (and that just about wore him out -- cn).
3. Kim Hansen "(What is Gary's fave Little Walter tune?") (He moaned...couldn't choose...will give top five)...
They are: "Back Track," "It's Too Late Brother," "Teenage Beat," "You Better Watch Yourself," and "Just Your Fool."
4. Robert Quinn ("Why no Chicago gigs?") See answer #1. Hi back to Ron Sorin.
5. Steve Jennings ("When is Gary coming to UK...would he interview for HARMONICA WORLD?")
No plans for UK as of yet. Seems like the money is prohibitive to my appearance in your great country. Love to do the interview. How 'bout gettin' me some gigs there? (what a guy --cn)
6. Gary Warren ("When to be in Jacksonville, FL?") We had a great time in Jacksonville at the festival. No plans to return as of yet, although we will be back soon I'm sure. Where's that cold one? (Thanks for shameless plugs.)
7. Rod Thomas ("Will miss Boston Show...come back.") Hope to see you next time around!
