Keith,
It's yours and Larry's fault...you guys are a bad influence (in a good kinda'
way!)...I have a few too many harp amps and have jeopardized my health and welfare
(my wife's gonna' kill me; forget about food and shelter for the wife and kids)...
I need the space...I need the dough...these amps should be played mo' and mo'!
I considered putting them on ebay but thought that since I am not looking to
make any money on them I would attempt to provide a service to the harp nuts
that frequent your cyber places...I will utilize the esteemed Larry "Guitar"
Graham roadie school for shipping purposes which means the amp will arrive safe
and sound or money back guaranteed (of course a local pickup, Bergen Co. NJ
- real close to NYC, will be even more of a guarantee and the buyer could have
the option of trying the amp out). I feel that these amps are more than fairly
priced - I am striving for "win-win" feelings here! I am thinking
that your visitors are somewhat familiar with the amps and specs of these amps
but will include some links that they can visit for more in-depth info. I can
be contacted at ccolina311@hotmail.com

Silvertone 1482 for $175 - very good to excellent condition considering
it's age. I don't know how to date these but it has the triangular/diamond
cut out (vs. round hole) on the baffle board and its serial or chassis number
is 185.11020. This amp still has the original Silvertone tubes and 2 prong cord; the vibrato doesn't work and I have not attempted to get it to do so; pretty clean with some very minor lifting of tolex at expected corners; grill cloth very clean. Check out Harmony Central for user reviews, specs, etc. from both guitar and harp players. |
| Holland Westside35 4x10 harp amp for $1200 w/custom Tuki padded cover- there
is a WS35 2x10 on ebay for $1200 right now...yeah, it has reverb but that adds
a bit of weight and price to the amp. I won't be too sad if no one jumps on
this one...she's a beauty - chocolate tolex, oxblood grillcloth, with power
to spare - you will most definitely not have to be mic'd (unless we're talking
about rock concerts and arenas). It is approx. 2 yrs. old (I used to have a
good paying job a couple years ago and could afford such toys!) and has been
out probably less than a dozen times - in other words very fine/excellent condition.
The interesting thing about this amp is that it is hard to compare to other
classic harp amps...it genuinely has the capability of achieving it's own sound
and character; if you want a 4x10 Bassman, go get a 4x10 Bassman! My last 2
gigs with this thing were at an outdoor party and a big hall in NYC with a 9pc.
band; kicked ass all day and night - the only bad thing was that we had to stop
playing at some point in time...the amp sounded better and better as time passed
by...I hope you know what I'm talking about here! Check out the user review at HarmonyCentral.com which add some additional technical info. http://www.hollandamps.com/hollfram2.htm |

Holland Juke Joint 1x12 for $1000 - excellent condition harp amp and custom
cover. If you've read any reviews on Holland amp you know he gets raves for
quality and craftsmanship (and knocks for delivery intervals). This is an approx.
2yr. old black tolexed, oxblood grillcloth 1x12 harp amp that has a master and
normal volume which helps you dial in your sound. One thing about Holland amps
is that the tonal controls are sensitive - in other words there is a difference
between 4 and 5 etc. This amp is very powerful and the tubes have little use
on them. I had done both power and pre-amp tube swaps to give the amp more headroom
and have replaced them with the little used tubes that came with the amp. Again,
you can do tube swaps and adjust the bias to help get your desired tone. Check out Harmony Central and Holland Amps for more info. |
Again, pics are available for all 3 of the above amps; if you've been thinking
about buying a Holland harp amp, you can save a lot of time and some dough too!
I appreciate your consideration.
